Tying Demo
Bill Adams wrote in his meeting notice: As many of you know, snowshoe hare's foot is a very versatile tying material, that can be used to make some very effective emerger and dun patterns. This month Dan Trela will demo tie some of those flies, including Baetis, Hendrickson, and Sulphur emergers, and the Bunny Dun.

Our meetings are open to the public, Please join us at any meeting. Dan begins tying at 7:00 pm. Our regular meeting begins at approx. 8:00 pm. Following or regular meeting generally have a raffle of some fly tying mateials, a speaker or we may show a film on some aspect of fly fishing.

ALGAE THREAT

Some streams in New England are threatened with algae.

Didymosphenia geminata (known commonly as “didymo” or “rock snot”) is now present in the Farmington River. If you fish the Farmington try to have a set of gear you use exclusively for that river.

2011 Fly Tying Classes were a great success. Total enrollment for the classes, 43 participants. Once again many compliments about the quality of the training were received by the instructors.
