MOE is organized by Facts About Wildlife & Nature Society (FAWNS) and held on the grounds of the Hamilton Rod & Gun Club off New Boston Road.
FAWNS is a nonprofit educational organization founded in 1998 out of concern for
the future of wildlife, people and their relationship to the environment.

18, 2009 Meeting Markelle Smith Western Massachusetts Land Protection Specialist The Nature Conservancy The speaker at our May 18, 2009 meeting was Markelle Smith. Markelle is a Western Massachusetts
Land Protection Specialist, with the Nature Conservancy. Markelle gave a very interesting presentation
about an invasive insect which has become a severe problem in the Worcester Area. The Asian Longhorned
Beetle is a very destructive insect with no natural enemies in North America. Markelle provided a link
to inform us about this destructive insect.
