Tying Demo

Dan Trela will tie Loop Flys (saltwater pattern), Goldies and Pearlies.  Word is, a number of lakers and salmon have come over the Quabbin spillway and are providing some real action in the Swift River catch and release area.  Goldies seem to work.  At the February meeting Dan will have material available to tie these very productive flys.

Some streams  in New England are threatened with algae.

Didymosphenia geminata (known commonly as “didymo” or “rock snot”) is now present in the Farmington River.  If you fish the Farmington try to have a set of gear you use exclusively for that river.

Click on (Coming to a Stream Near You !!)  below to see what the threat is and what you can do to help prevent this from happening to our local streams.
